The Cross

The Cross Changed Everything

The cross wasn't simply another event in history.

The cross was God's redemptive answer to the problem of sin.

Jesus became the mediator of a better covenant.

“But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.”— Hebrews 8:6, KJV

The Old Covenant pointed forward.

Jesus fulfilled what it was pointing toward.

The book of Hebrews says:

“For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us.”— Hebrews 9:24, KJV

This is why I am so grateful for salvation.

I am grateful that my relationship with God isn't dependent upon my ability to make myself perfect.

I am grateful that when I fall, I can repent.

When I sin, I can confess.

When I become discouraged, I can pray.

When I feel lost, I can seek Him.

When I need direction, I can ask.

Jesus made a way.
